Welcome to Herr Skin. By visiting herrskin.com, booking an appointment, purchasing a product or program, or receiving a service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. About Us

Herr Skin  ("we," "us," "our") is a licensed esthetics practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, offering corrective acne care, Brazilian waxing, and related skincare services and products. Services are performed by a licensed esthetician.

2. Scope of Services

Our services are cosmetic and esthetic in nature. We do not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition, and nothing on our website or in our consultations is medical advice. Treatments outside the scope of an esthetician's license in Pennsylvania are not offered. If we believe a concern requires a physician or dermatologist, we will refer you.

3. Consultations and Treatment Programs

Our acne care follows a consultation-first model. A consultation helps us recommend a treatment plan or program tier that fits your skin and goals.

  • Recommendations are based on the information you give us. Please be complete and honest about your skin history, medications, and health conditions.

  • Treatment programs run over a set period and depend on you following the plan, including the at-home routine and any aftercare products recommended.

  • Results are not guaranteed. Every person's skin responds differently, and results depend on many factors, including hormones, medications, lifestyle, diet, and consistency with home care.

4. Booking and Appointments

  • Appointments are booked online or by contacting us. Our studio is by appointment only. Walk-ins are not available.

  • Please arrive on time. Late arrivals for facials may result in a shortened service or a rescheduled appointment, and the full service price may still apply. For waxing services, late arrivals may result in rescheduled appointments, and the full service price may still apply.

  • You must provide accurate contact information so we can confirm and communicate about your appointment.

  • Prebooked pricing applies when your next appointment is booked at the time of your current appointment, before you leave the studio.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Shows

  • We require at least [24/48] hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.

  • Cancellations or changes made with less notice may be charged a fee of [ 50 percentage of service].

  • No-shows may be charged [100 percentage of service], and we may require a deposit or prepayment for future bookings.

  • Same-day requests are accepted only when availability allows and are not guaranteed.

  • We understand emergencies happen. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will review each situation individually.

6. Pricing, Payment, Packages and Promotions

  • Prices are listed on our website or provided at booking and may change at any time. The price at the time of booking applies to that booking.

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Packages and programs: Packages must be used within 6 months of purchase. Packages are [non-refundable / refundable only in the following circumstances] and are non-transferable.

  • Promotions: First-time client offers apply to new clients only, one per client, and cannot be combined with other offers unless stated. Package add-ons are fixed perks and have no cash value.

  • Referral program: The referral reward is issued once the referred client's first appointment is completed. We track referrals manually, and we reserve the right to decline rewards for self-referrals or abuse of the program.

  • Financing: Where we offer third-party payment plans or buy-now-pay-later options, those are provided by independent companies under their own terms, approval criteria, and fees. We are not the lender and are not responsible for their decisions or terms.

7. Health, Safety and Client Responsibilities

Before any service you will be asked to complete an intake or consent form. You agree to tell us about anything that may affect your treatment, including:

  • Medications, especially topical or oral acne medications and retinoids, blood thinners, and anything that thins or sensitizes the skin

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Allergies and sensitivities

  • Recent sun exposure, sunburn, tanning, or other cosmetic procedures

  • Skin conditions, infections, open wounds, or irritation in the treatment area

We may decline or reschedule a service if it is not safe or appropriate for you. In that case, cancellation fees will not apply if the reason is a condition you disclosed in good faith and could not have known about in advance, at our discretion.

You agree to follow all pre-care and aftercare instructions. Not doing so may affect your results and increase the risk of side effects.

8. Risks of Treatment

All skin and waxing services carry some risk, including redness, swelling, tenderness, sensitivity, breakouts, temporary pigment changes, bruising, skin lifting, ingrown hairs, and, rarely, infection or scarring. Acne treatments may cause temporary purging, dryness, or peeling as part of the process. By receiving a service, you acknowledge these risks and agree to contact us promptly if you experience an unexpected reaction. Serious reactions should be treated by a medical professional.

9. Products and Returns

Skincare and aftercare products are recommended based on your consultation. Due to health and safety reasons, opened or used products cannot be returned. Unopened products may be returned within 30 days with proof of purchase. Product claims reflect manufacturer information and are not medical claims.

10. Photos, Case Studies and Testimonials

We may take before, during, and after photos for treatment tracking. We will never use your photos or testimonials in marketing, on our website, or on social media without your separate written permission. You may withdraw permission at any time for future use by contacting us.

11. Studio Conduct

We are committed to a safe, respectful space for clients and staff. We reserve the right to end a service and decline future bookings if a client is abusive, harassing, intoxicated, or behaves in a way that is unsafe. Services already performed are non-refundable in that case.

12. Website Use and Intellectual Property

All content on herrskin.com, including text, branding, the HERR Method, logos, graphics, photographs, and design, belongs to Herr Skin Studio or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share our content for personal, non-commercial use with credit to us. You may not copy, reproduce, sell, or republish our content, including our educational materials and programs, without written permission.

13. Educational Content Disclaimer

Blog posts, social media content, and other educational material are for general information only. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for a consultation. Do not delay seeking medical care because of something you read from us.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Herr Skin Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our website, services, or products. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Pennsylvania law.

Our website and booking process may use third-party services (such as our website host, booking platform, payment processors, and financing providers) and may link to other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, unless the law requires otherwise.

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes means you accept the updated terms.
